Libertas Mind was created as the mental health division of Libertas Interventional pain. While many procedures were often successful for treating pain, patient’s still suffered. While seemingly contradictory, the toll of chronic pain left patient’s with a depresssion and hopelessness that was profoud. Despite conventional treatments with antidepressants and pain medications, some patients simply did not improve. Libertas Mind was founded to fill this treatment gap.
Fortunately over the last decade we have a better understanding of how depression and pain overlap,their shared neurobiology and ultimately, new tools to help patients.
Ketamine, Spravato (Esketamine) and Stellate ganglion blocks are unique because they adress depression, anxiety, PTSD and other psychiatric diseases by targeting neuroinflammation, enhancing glutamine and our innate ability to form new synaptic connections.
Libertas Mind was created as a multidisciplinary collective of providers with expertise in Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, Pain medicine, Psychotherapy and Health coaching. Working together, Libertas Mind can bring advanced treatments to patients who need more to heal.
Libertas Mind embraces a treatment philosophy that pairs all treatments including ketamine with behavioral therapy for maximum benefit. Following an integrated model of mental health care, we explore what other factors contribute to a healthy life including nutrition sleep, stress, trauma, substance abuse and your support system.
